About us

Hi there!

I'm Vane and I'm a Spanish teacher with years of experience under my belt. I've obtained my teaching qualifications from Roehampton University and Instituto Cervantes (London). I also hold two BAs - one in Journalism and one in History of Art.

When I'm not teaching, I love diving into anything related to human expression and communication, such as art, music, films, photography….

¡Hola!

It's so nice to meet you! My name is Irene and I'm originally from Madrid. I've been lucky enough to call London my home for the past 12 years.

After finishing my studies in Photography, I decided to pursue my passion for teaching and obtained my CLTA qualification to teach Spanish as a foreign language. This year I completed, my degree in Spanish language and literature at university.

I have started the beginners course and enjoy every lesson. The course is well structured with a variety of activities and space for practice. Irene has a deep knowledge and passion for the language on top of great energy when it comes to teaching. I highly recommend it if you are looking to learn the language-either from scartch or to improve or refresh your skill-and have fun while learning!

Vanessa is a talented and driven teacher who provides a challenging and fun program, What makes Vanessa so distinctive is her ability to adjust the teaching to your personal background, hobbies and interests. This makes every single lesson relevant and stimulating. She's always happy to bring extra materials or colloquial lexis which makes lessons topical and engaging.

Irene is an amazing and passionate teacher! Our lessons are always very interesting and attractive! She always implements news and students personal interests. She uses a lot of different teaching tools so that students can practice all aspects of the language. I'm now able to communicate when I visit my husband's family in Spain. I highly recommend Irene!

Irene hasn't only given me a lot of help correcting my broken Spanish, but with her unique qualification she also explained the super interesting background of the Spanish language, history and culture. She encoraged me to use Spanish from day 1 since I moved to Spain. I can highly recommend her classes.

I have been taking clases with Vane for over five years, and I couldn’t be happier with the progress . I started with zero knowledge of the Spanish language and I’m currently finishing level C1. Vanessa is a real professional but also makes the clases fun, she always tailors the content around my interests and has really helped me to advance my level in all aspects of the language!

Jonathan Dove

Student from the UK

Vane is friendly and interesting, so our conversations are always fun. She is also very experienced, using a range of resources so I never feel stuck in a textbook. I was a complete beginner, and now can easily talk to my Spanish partner’s family (they tell me I don’t sound English!). She has also helped me develop vocabulary in my specialised field. Thanks, Vane!
